San Clemente Pier Sunset by Nina Prommer - The original San Clemente pier was built in 1928 spanning 1,200 ft. In 1939 and again 1983 heavy storms severely damaged the pier making it necessary to rebuild the structure. The pier has always been a popular place for surfing, sunsets, and relaxing at the beach. There is a train station right at the pier and for those arriving by car there is plenty of parking available. A lifeguard is stationed right on the pier making sure the surfers are safe.
Nina Prommer is a well-known photographer, artist and writer.
